NICK RAPA COLLECTION

Our AUS boy Nic Rapa has made his name even more well known in the pro wakeboarding world since we last highlighted him as an athlete member of the TEAMLTD crew just a couple years back. He more recently won the 2019 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships in Abu Dhabi with dominating runs right out of the gates in qualifiers through quarters, semis and finals. We have a real treat of a collaboration clothing line with Nick that we’re super stoked to share with you guys, combining the stars of Australia and the leaves of Canada to bring you an exciting new line. The Nic Rapa x TEAMLTD collection contains a couple snapbacks, tees and a dope pair of swim shorts, all decorated with a perfectly curated Nic Rapa x TEAMLTD logo – you can check it all out on our website HERE.

As we were catching up with Nic, we decided to get a quick Q and A going  for any of you that may not be as familiar with him. For starters, Nic was just a ripe 13 years old when he got into wakeboarding and almost immediately started putting on a show and destroying the junior circuit. He has some pretty wild stories on our podcast episode with him if you want to check it out HERE.

Alright, let’s get this Q and A going shall we? Enjoy!

1. a) If you could be a professional athlete in any other sport, what would you choose?

Rapa: “Definitely a career in the UFC. It gets me so hyped watching it.”

1. b) What about any other career outside of sports?

Rapa: “Probably something in fitness or construction.”

2. What would you consider to be the hardest trick to master?

Rapa: "1080 degree spins. It’s a lot of handle passing and not much room for error."

3. 2020 has been a wild ride so far, how has that affected you both personally and in terms of training?

Rapa: “Personally my fiancé is stuck in AUS and I haven’t seen her in 3 months which sucks! But my training is on point and no different to normal.”

4. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Rapa: “Hmm tough one, probably pizza. Or pasta. Or sushi. This question isn’t fair.”

5. Your most memorable run to date?

Rapa: “Probably winning the overall pro wakeboard tour or the IWWF world title in Abu Dhabi last year!”

6. Who is your biggest role model?

Rapa: “I don’t particularly have one I like taking many different traits from athletes and figures and mashing them up into a version of who I want to be.”

7. Favourite style of music/artist?

Rapa: "I love country, rap and club music! Good vibes!"

8. Advice for up and coming athletes grinding it out in the system?

Rapa: "Stay focused, train hard and stay grounded."
